Liz Randall

Liz Randall can’t remember a time when she didn’t sing. Her public debut was in Happy Valley, Llandudo, when, aged 6, she ran onto the stage to sing a hymn she had learned at Sunday school – The Wise Man Built his House upon the Rock - much to her parents amazement.

Liz sang her way through various choirs until she found a home in traditional English music. There have been a few detours into blues and café jazz, but it is traditional songs that remain her favourite, the longer and more miserable the better.

Liz is a member of The Travelling Folk and sings with Mary Barr as the shanty duo, Magwitch. With Mick Lynn she has sung at many festivals and clubs and with John Cave she sings a number of scurrilous and comic ditties.
